First of all, Thanks for visiting my website and taking the time out to read through my blog. You will notice that most of my technical notes are related to Flex and Java. I am a Software Engineering working for Adobe Systems Inc. as a Software Developer and now a Technical Account Manager. I graduated from The University of Ottawa with a BASc degree in Software Engineering with Engineering Entrepreneurship and Management Option (co-op) in December 2006. I am a Canadian-Indian, living in Ottawa. I recently moved to Singapore to start my MBA at INSEAD.

what kind of DataService, like HttpService, RemoteObject, or WebServices do you think is the best option to work if I plan to manage a SQL database using PHP, with a Flex datagrid,(for example) in a easy way, not doing hard operations, only creation, delete and actualization database elements….
I read that can be a good solution using WebOrb with RemoteObjects, but i’m not sure about this….. can you help me?

I haven’t really used PHP so I cant comment on what the best option would be. But I have used HttpService and RemoteObject with Flex datagrid and Java backend, I would prefer to use RemoteObject since I find it easier to extract info from the Object rather than XML. HTH.

Just rea on another blog that you are a July ‘2010 student at INSEAD. I am an R2 applicant from India for the same class .Havent got the admit yet though. I wanted to figure out the finances early on. Could you let me know how you raised the loan?As I am having a lot of difficulty in it

As far as a flex+java text is concerned, I haven’t come across one that I really like. I mostly use google and blogs for such info. I would suggest you look online for good resources.
Farata Systems has book a book http://riabook.com/ on Adobe Flex and Java. It is little old (Flex 2) but still worth owning it.
